Underground ventilation

Lightweight and long-lasting option.

Rumtec pipes are intended for ventilation applications where the pipes are in a special situation in terms of the installation location or the durability required of the pipe. The material used is mainly hot-dip galvanized steel, G1000–G1200. In addition, pipes can be made of aluminum (AlMg3) and stainless steel, especially in very demanding conditions, such as industrial sites. By using Duplex protection, galvanizing and painting, it is possible to increase the service life of Rumtec pipes up to 100 years.

In addition to corruated pipes, the manufacturing program includes fittings, curves, joints and modifications. A sleeve or flange joint sealed with heat shrink seal or cellular rubber seal is used as joints. The strength of Rumtec pipes is determined underground and traffic loads according to the instructions of the Finnish Transport Agency. In sites requiring high vacuum resistance, the structure is determined according to the tested dimensioning instructions.
