Mechanically stabilized earth retaining wall LIMI is a retaining wall solution made of concrete blocks and rebar steel anchors. The structure consists of concrete blocks, which are anchored to the soil layer behind the retaining wall with densely placed rebar anchors.
Densely installed rebar anchors in the backfill strengthen the backfill, improving its technical properties and giving the wall support against earth pressure. The block wall and the steel tubes that are laid inside the blocks to stiffen the structure enable folds and curved shapes. The structure is full of ingot seams, so it is not sensitive to deformation and compensates for possible uneven or unexpected earth pressure effectively.
Compared to alternative solutions, the LIMI retaining wall is a light and cost-effective solution. The highest recommended wall height is 5.78 meters.
