Soil Reinforcement

Geosynthetics for soil reinforcement & stabilization

Geogrids are specialized geosynthetics widely used in the civil engineering projects to stabilize and reinforce soil, especially steep slopes of embankments. They are made of various polymers and may be welded from strips, extruded, woven or knitted from yarns.
Geocomposites
Geocomposites are georeinforcements that consist of a geogrid and a nonwoven geotextile, which is already firmly attached to grid junctions during the manufacturing phase. Geocomposites combine the soil-reinforcing properties of geogrids and the filtering and separating properties of nonwoven geotextiles.
Woven geotextiles are geosynthetic materials often used to reinforce and separate low-bearing soils. By design, they are very strong and porous, which makes them a good application for road construction and fine granular soil reinforcement. They are formed by weaving several threads perpendicular to each other to form a large sheet.
