Control of fine-sediment dispersion for marine and dredging works

A silt (turbidity) curtain delineates (mark off) the works area and reduces the spread of suspended sediment during dredging, piling and other waterfront construction. We supply both engineering-grade, tight-weave, abrasion-resistant (wear-resistant) reinforcement fabric for water-works, and ready-to-install Morenot silt curtains.

Morenot silt curtains combine a buoyant top edge with an inflatable, flexible float tube, a durable skirt fabric and a ballast chain, keeping the curtain stable under hydrodynamic loading (current/wave forces). Seams are double-stitched, and individual curtain sections can be connected with zipper couplers. For logistics and handling, Morenot curtains arrive on site in an FIBC bulk bag (large woven bag) and can be deployed rapidly by pulling them straight out of the bag.
